Uzbekistan Launches $320 Million Rural Infrastructure Programme

On 6 November, details of the second phase of Uzbekistan’s Rural Infrastructure Development Project were reported, with a total budget of $320 million. Financing is planned through $150 million from the World Bank’s IDA, $100 million from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and $70 million from the Uzbek state budget. The programme will cover 296 mahallas in six regions; HPC can support contractors, suppliers and consultants seeking procurement and implementation partnerships.
